This event will be held at Fraser House Hub in White Cross. Fraser House is a cutting edge working space for the dynamic, vibrant and ever growing tech and digital economy of Lancaster and Lancashire. This environment will provide Transition City Lancaster with a space where the local community can meet in various size meeting rooms and communal areas according to the needs of the group. State of the art equipment will be available for presentations and hybrid links with leading speakers from around the world can be made available without them having to travel to us.

Tickets for attending the event in person are restricted to the first 14 people who choose that ticket option but we can have another 86 people joining online, so if you don’t want to travel or prefer to take part from home we will welcome you anyway.

This evening event will be focussing on preparing for the online “Transition Together Summit” and introducing newcomers to the work and ideas that are already happening out there, around the world. We will also be providing an open space opportunity where small groups of attendees can focus on discussing specific topics of primary interest to them. It is an important part of Transition Culture that focus groups arise from the enthusiasms of their members. New focus groups will arise from this meeting and will then be able to split the many online opportunities of the Summit into sensible areas for each individual. Future local meetings after the Summit can then arise naturally for these focus groups and be united to keep everyone together from time to time.

As this is the first live Transition City Lancaster meeting in 2022 we will also include a brief AGM, which is a legal obligation for us each year. A quick run through from our Treasurer will naturally offer an opportunity for mentioning a donation link on our website to help raise funds for future events.
