Swapshop
Who we are
A team that loves to create
The swapshop newsletter is sent out to all subscribers at the week-end. It contains a list off offers, wants and events that have been sent to us by subscribers through the week.
Wendy has the job of compiling the items and copying and pasting them into the newsletter in the right order. She also adds new subscribers to a list and those who wish to be removed from the list because they are moving away from the local area.
Tony then adds these new subscribers to the email list and removes those who no longer wish to receive it. He then prepares the compiled newsletter and sends it out to the list.
At present ( March 2022 ) there are 1861 current subscribers. These receive their copy of the Swapshop newsletter each week and will look through it - usually on a Sunday afternoon.
If you wish to become a subscriber too then drop us an email to get started. Our email address for this service is nw_swapshop@gmail.com
What we do
Keep it simple
Donations
In order to send out an email each week to nearly 2000 subscribers we can't just use an ordinary email account and send an email to this many people at the same time! So we have to use a special service that gets it through spam blockers and bounce backs for free email users. This costs us around £165 a year.
It would be really nice if some of our subscribers could help pay for this rather than us having to dig into our pensions each month. We have been subsidising this for years through our business but now we are retired we have to ask for help.
Please consider donating a small amount each year to keep us going. If we just get 20 of us donating £8.25 a year we will cover it.
You can donate here by clicking this button, even if you don't have a paypal account.
