POTATO DAY 2020

GROWING LOCAL FOOD AND COMMUNITY

Potato Day, Sat Jan. 25, 2020

Spuds, stalls and café from 11am to 3pm

Friends Meeting House, next to Lancaster train station

There will be 23 varieties of organic seed potatoes for sale, also jams, apples, apple trees, coppice wood, sewing crafts and the famous seed swop stall. Loads of stalls about community growing projects. There will be two free talks in Room 1.

1 pm Changing the carbon footprint of death and dying This illustrated talk considers traditional options such as burial and cremation and considers alternatives. With Gail Capstick.

2 pm Resilient Food; how can we assess the food we eat for it’s environmental and social impacts. With Rod Everett.

All welcome, free entry to everything.

CAFE by Global Village Cafe – Delicious hot potato based meals, soups, drinks and cakes.
