As an introduction to the Great Big Green Week we thought it might be helpful to analyse the most important scientific facts from the recent IPCC report and just to check in with how everyone is feeling about these shocking statistics. We are hoping there will also be time to discuss the Climate Assembly report prepared for the Government by a selected assembly of random individuals and how far we agree with their decisions.

The intention is to make sure we have an opportunity to come together as a local community and express our concerns and fears for the future.

The discussion will, hopefully, start the week off with some provoking thoughts on what we are going to be asked to do as individuals in moving towards a lifestyle that is net zero. Then these thoughts can be developed at various events throughout the week.

An event is also planned for the final day so that those who wish to can come back together, sharing what they have learned and making plans for the Autumn.
